I have a large, double room available. It is a large second floor flat situated right in between Headingley and Hyde Park. The room comes with a double wardrobe, desk, chair and book shelf. FREE WIFI is inclusive in the rent and NO bond is required.
There is wooden flooring throughout the house except the bedrooms and all the walls are painted neutral colours. The bedroom is a very pale blue colour, which has never bothered me but you are allowed to paint the walls if you want.
The kitchen has a healthy supply of crockery, cutlery, utensils and pots and pans etc. There is a fridge/freezer and an extra fridge as well. It also has a washer/ dryer, fan assisted oven with gas hobs, microwave, toaster, kettle, and there is plenty of cupboard space. It is a large kitchen which also contains a full-size table and four chairs.
The bathroom is a large size and neutral in colour. It has sink, toilet, shelving unit, mirror and bath/ shower. There is always plenty of hot water.
The living room has wooden floors and is exceptionally large. It has a large television with DVD player and PS2 all set up. There is a three-piece suite (2 chairs and a sofa) and a couple of side tables.
The other tenants are a female and male. The female is 23 and in her last year at university at TASC doing primary education so works very hard. The male is 22 and in full-time employment. They have a goldfish which is usually kept on the kitchen table but can be moved. They are both very clean and tidy.
The flat is situated between Headingley (The Skyrack pub) and Hyde Park, so its only a 5-10 minutes walk to those and only a 20 minute walk to the town centre. There are mainly students/ post grad students situated nearby, but because of the specific location it is very quiet and has never had a problem with noise or crime. Off-road parking is always available right outside the flat. There is a garden and bar-be-que area situated round the back of the property
Our winter bills came to £75 per person (including gas, electric and water). The water bill is paid monthly at £13 each. The gas and electric arrive quarterly and I believe we’ve had our most expense month in regards to heating. The TV license has already been paid. Internet is included in the rent. Rent is £278 pppm and can be paid by post-dated cheque or direct debit. Rent is paid up till the end of February. There is NO bond or deposit to pay on this property.
