Couple required for a double room in a three bedroom flat just around the corner from St. Katharine’s Dock. To share with one other couple.
The room is furnished with a double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. The flat has a bathroom with separate toilet, kitchen with all the bits and bobs, living room, and a study.
The flat is situated just under 10 minutes walk from Tower Hill tube station, Tower Gateway DLR and Wapping tube station. The 15 bus route runs to Paddington via the west end. The RV1 bus runs to Covent Garden via Waterloo.
St. Katharine’s Dock, Tower Bridge, and the Tower of London are all a few minutes walk away, along with charming Wapping in the other direction. Near by is a Waitrose supermarket, Fitness First gym and numerous pubs and restaurants. Canary Wharf is also around 15 minutes away.
Rent for the room is £650 per month. Bills are around £65 per person per month, which includes council tax, gas, electricity, water and wireless broadband (telephone not included).
Content’s insurance isn’t included and we strongly advise to have this to cover breakages etc.
It’s important to us to live with people who are clean, tidy, friendly and relatively quiet, who won’t have a problem with mucking in with the housework (and who will value our property as all
furnishings and fittings in the shared areas of the flat belong to us!)
Non smokers preferred, definitely no smoking in the flat. All breakages/damage to the landlords’ or our furniture/fittings must be paid for promptly.
We’d also prefer to live with a British couple as with past flat mates we’ve found the language barrier/lack of shared experiences a problem - nothing quite like making a joke about Postman Pat only to be met with a blank look! A couple with experience of living by themselves is a massive advantage also - if your washing up and cleaning policy is to pray your Mum and Dad are going to turn up, this might not be the flat for you :o)
A deposit of £650 plus one months rent required in advance. As we are currently in the middle of the lease, the new tenants will need to sign up to the remainder of the contract which is 11 months long.
Room available from the start of May
